C.H.A.O.T.I.X. Chp. 9

The sound of the ticking clock just hitting 10 o'clock jarred Ben out of his memory of Rose shooting him and almost killing him. He shook his head to clear out the cobwebs and took a look around Charmy's room again. The only other living, breathing Mobian who was in there was Charmy. Ben carefully searched Charmy's room only to find that somehow Rose had given him the slip once again, like she used to do when she was younger and sane, and Ben most likely was paying attention. Their own version of hide and seek.

Great.... Ben thought, leaving Charmy's room. She's gone. And I still don't have a clue as to where she is.

He made his way back to the apartment he shared with Gizmo the Wolf and Aeolus the Hawk. Thankfully, the two were fast asleep, so they didn't notice Ben come in and fall asleep on his own bed.

Rose was furious at herself. To let two easy targets get away from her like that was not scheduled on her protocol. She reached down into her pocket and pulled out the cross Ben made. It seemed to be hastily thrown together with just a few sticks and a couple of small strands of twine. But it held a special spot in her heart and those last few strands of saneness. It happened to be the only thing that had stopped her from killing Ben right there in Charmy's room. 

She put it back in her pocket, already heading back to where she was hiding.

Aeolus' alarm clock was not the best thing to wake up to. Ben had learned that the hard way the first few times. But he had to get up to tell Vector about last night. He got up, showered, put on his gloves and boots and got up, trying not to disturb the still sleeping hawk whose head was just barely visible under the covers.

However, when he made his way to their shared living room in route of his own breakfast finding quest, he already found Gizmo working on it. Gizmo was a gray-ish white furred wolf who seemed to have enough Chaos Energy to rival Shadow's a bit running in his blood.

Gizmo was always the first to rise, no matter what.

"I heard about what's happened so far." Gizmo said while Ben was searching the pantries for some food.
